Is Viral Fever For More Than A Week Symptom Of HIV?

viral fever for more than 7 days is the symptoms of HIV. I have cold fever for more than 7 days. So i have to go for HIV Test.... As I hav sex with a sex worker 7 weeks before. there is no pain or any symptom in my penis or else in my body. Plz help..

hi.viral fever for more than a week does not necessarily mean HIV AIDS.having sex with CSW may give you any sexually transmitted infection.HIV test if done may come negative as the HIV virus takes few years to infect the body (window period)it might come positive after several months or years .
The pain/any infection on penis is caused by the sexually transmitted infection.please keep a watch on the associated symptoms like weight loss,cough,loss of appetite,any skin rash.its always advisable to go for the protected sex. Although avoidance of such activity is highly recommended.you can still get your lab test for HIV done.
