Is Vertigo Due To Blocked Sinuses?

My wife has had vertigo since Sunday. It goes away when she lays down but starts up again when she stands. We have head colds for a week but are feeling better. How long should we wait to have the vertigo checked out, and could it be caused from the sinus blocked up?

Blocked sinuses do not cause vertigo. You better consult ENT specialist for positional test and to rule out other causes of vertigo. If positional test is positive, ENT specialist may do Hallpike manueuer and her vertigo will be relieved permanently in just 5mins. Meanwhile she can take Tab. serc 8mg once daily and Tab. stemetil once daily. Thanks
