Is Vertigo Contagious Infection?

Is Virtigo contagious as in could I have given it yo my 7 year old daughter. My doctor said mine was viral - connected to my inner ear having no hearing when he tested it in the front. No known reason what caused it and I am ok now bar little bouts of still feeling a little blah, dizziness has all gone though. Thanks

Vertigo is NOT contagious as it is just a symptom. However if the cause of vertigo in your case is a viral infection as in a common cold, that is certainly contagious and that can pass on to anybody around you, though they need not necessarily manifest with the same symptoms that you have. So if you want to be absolutely sure, you can restrict close contact with your daughter for a short while until your viral symptoms subside. But you need not worry too much about vertigo spreading to your daughter.
