Hi.. Vegetables is nutritionally equal to meat, if there is a mixture of vegetables, pulses and cereals.  Hence a combination of  diet is important in making a balanced diet, if you do not consume meat..  Pure vegterian who do not even milk are prone to vitamin B12   deficiency... Hence milk is essential if you do not consume meat.. If both these criterias can be taken care of then vegetariansm is equally healthier as a non vegetarians..
