Is Valium Considered A Good Option For Dental Procedures Such As Teeth Extraction?

Hello. My name is Robert. I'm going for a dental procedure to have teeth extracted. My dentist is going to be using a combination of nitric oxide gas and valium for my anxiety because I have a fear of dentists. How good is Valium for dental procedures and will it hurt me to use it in combination with nitric oxide as she suggests? Thanks for your help.
