Is Vaginal Spotting Normal In A Sexually Active Woman With Endometriosis?
Hi, I have endometriosis. I am wanting to know what is meant by the term sexually active . Does it only involve sexual intercourse, or is oral sex and fingering also involved? If I am sexually active, should I be concerned with continuous spotting, and if so why?
Hello dear, Understand your concern. I think it is a symptoms of endometriosis.
Following are symptoms of endometriosis: Painful, heavy, or irregular periods Pain and spotting during or after sex Infertility Painful bowel movements Fatigue
Following are treatments of endometriosis: 1. Hormonal therapy: - Progestrone - Oral contraceptive pills - Danazole and gestrinone - GnRH agonist - NSAIDS for pain relief 2. Surgery: if associated with sever pain and infertility - Excision of endometrium and adhesion with preservation of uterus and ovary.
Also do hormone profile test llike LH, FSH, Progesterone, estrogen , throid hormone.
