Is Using Antibacterial And Anti-fungal Creams At The Same Time Safe?

My son is 7 and has had jock itch for 5 days which did not respond fully or go away with tinactin ointment or spray so we went back to the doctor and she prescribed mupirocin and oxistat. My mom took my son while was working so I didn t get a chance to ask questions like 1) why prescribe an antibacterial and anti fungal and 2) which should be applied first? Help!

Hi,
It seems that there might be having mixed infection, likely that bacterial infection is super added with fungal infection due to itching or irritation.
You can apply both cream, at a time or one after another.
Ok and take care.
