Is Using Foban Cream Safe For Discomfort Around Anus Post Haemorrhoidectomy?

Good morning, I am five days post surgery after having undergone a haemorrhoidectomy. Obviously I still have some bleeding and discomfort, specially when having or just had a bowel motion. I have an ample supply of Foban cream, would it be safe to use this product around the wound site to help eliminate the risk of infection? With thanks Kevin Marshall Napier HB NZ

dear friend
Foban or Fusidic acid 2% is a good anti bactrial ointment should work fine. but you must have been prescribed some follow up ointments and tablets, its more intelligent to use them. if there are any symptoms then please ask if not use the prescribed followup drugs rather than trying to exhaust your stash of foban
