Is Urine Incontinence Normal Post Inguinal Hernia Surgery?

I just had laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery 2 days ago. All seems well but on the 2nd day I had several bouts of Urge Incontinence - not being able to control a hard stream of urine and not making it to the bathroom in time. Is this condition common with the initial surgery and short term in nature? Should i just wait the course or seek immediate medical treatment from my Surgeon or a Urologist?

Hi it is not common to have urge incontinence post inguinal hernia surgery. I would be wise to report the problem to your surgeon. I hope this was helpful. I wish you good health :)
