I am wondering if the metformin I am taking could cause something that is called casein curds... I have a bad stomach and then when I go to the bathroom..there is a capsule looking object in my bowel movement..I have only noticed 2 ...one yesterday and then one just a few hours ago.. I flushed the first one and I know this sounds gross but I got the one today in a zip lock bag..was wondering if I should take it to my dr or just get rid of it...it is orangish brown in color and inside is a white chalky substance..I had stage 4 color cancer in 2004 and everything out of the ordinary still freaks me out...I am cancer free with 7 inches of my colon removed and chemo and radiation treatments... might be something ordinary but I am ready to stop the metformin if it is the cause...Thanks..Rhonda Robinson ..Morganton NC
