Is Trouble In Swallowing Likely To Heal By Itself After Undergoing Maxillectomy Surgery In Mouth?

hi Doctor,

My father had a maxilectomy surgery in mouth (upper alveoli) affected by Squamous cell carcinoma, he is facing troubles swallowing, and he got a node like growth in the lower jaw area, Doctor had adviced us to take Ceftum 500, how best it will work and in general what would be the healing duration.
