Is Trimovate Effective For Recurrent Vaginal Tear?
Hi, I have a recurrent vaginal tear (no itchiness) that appears to be a surface wound. I was prescribed trimovate. by a gynaecologist. I used this for twice a day for three weeks then once a day for three weeks then twice a week. However this has now returned. Should I be using trimovate as a long term solution to this problem?
Hello,Welcome to the HCM , First of all I would like to know what is the cause of vaginal tear.Is that happened after normal delivery or some thing else is causing this. since first you have to avoid the reason which is causing vaginal tear recurruntly. As this ointment contains antifungal and steroid which can cause harm if applied recurrently .My opinion would be get checked by ganecologist and discuss about the size of vaginal tear,it might be needing stiches if the size is increased of vaginal tear. Regards,Dr.Maheshwari
