Is Tridot Test Reliable For The Diagnosis Of HIV?
Sir after my last exposure i have tested for hiv by using tridot test on 92,125days and came out negative is this testreliable or i have to repeat the after 6 months .sir i have done protected sex but while doing i rolled down the condom and again pulled it back up now im in 148th day after exposure is further testing required.

Yes, tridot is the reliable test. but when it comes positive is the matter of great debate. you can not predict that after this time the tridot comes positive. you should go for either P24, HIV PCR or western blot test. this are the confirmative test for hiv. you have enough time spent for this test to come positive. after this test you should start the Anti Retro Viral Therapy. thnx

Tridot is reliable test but positivity may vary in duration. you may test it after 6 months or you should go for other confirmative tests that give rapid results lik P24 Anitgen test and NAAT. this tests are positive after 1 month duration. thnx

Yes, tridot is the reliable test, but when it comes out to be positive is the matter of great debate.many a time even after 6 months tridot comes to be negative. so you should think of other tests. if you do not think in terms of money than you should go for confirmatory tests like western blot test, P24 antigen tests and NAAT this are costly but give you definite diagnosis. on the second priority ELISA is also good test you can also go for it.
