BUT synthetic and other chemicals related to marijuana have been associated with higher amounts of stress on the heart and some fatalities (bath salts for example). Marijuana does, however, raise the heartbeat slightly in most who smoke it; this is not often actually serious but is sometimes associated with panic/anxiety/etc. (feeling worse than it is) An ekg DURING the symptoms can pretty much rule out a heart problem--it isn t very likely with marijuana.
