Is This High BP For A Child ?

A 9 year old weighing 102 lbs and height is 4 6 . 100/75 ? Its for my niece. Her father died of myocardiopathy and I m just worried she is hypertensive.

It's also useful to note that hypertension isn't diagnosed by one reading -- you have to check a couple of times a week for a couple of weeks in order to establish a trend or pattern. Perhaps the child's blood pressure is up because she was anxious about something, or had exercised. A good trend helps rule out other causes.
