I don t want to panic. About 2 hours ago I feel sick to my stomach and suddenly couldn t hear very well. My ears are not ringing but they got suddenly congested and I couldn t hear. I feel very disconnected still. I felt faint and I could feel my heart beating in my chest like palpitations for about an hour. This started after I had a sudden attack of heartburn. I tried to do an internet search but I can t find anything to describe what is happening to me. I also felt kind of sweaty but no chest pains so I don t think its a heart attack. Can heartburn cause all these other symptoms? This happened right after I woke up and all I had to drink was some coffee. I ve been having heartburn off and on for about 6 months.
Get checked out.
Females don't have the classic symptoms of heart attack so you can't say that it isn't angina until you've been checked.
It could be heartburn and a panic attack but it could be that you're having angina attacks.

My grandmother thought she was just having indigestion, but her doctor thinks that she might have has a little series of heart attacks. Can anyone tell me how you can tell whether or not you re having a heart attack or indigestion; heartburn; etc?
Is this considered a heart attack symptom:: sharp and sudden pain on right side of upper back, just above shoulder blade, sweating, blood pressure raised. Pain subsided after lying down for about 30 minutes with ice pack. Seemed to have migrated somewhat to right side of chest and felt like heartburn. Several hours later all symptoms gone.
49yo female. Recent 12 lead ECG test displayed I had a heart attack. Believe it happened few nights prior, waking me out of sleep. Had warning sign of heartburn sensation but didn t realize it until after the fact. Had an echocardio gram that showed no blockage. Have a stress test scheduled but if echo showed no blockage (taken when body at rest, as it was when I thought I had a heart attack)...do I really need to do the stress test??... thinking what I thought was a heart attack, may really only be a sleep disorder experience
My husband's heart is beating loudly and seems to be beating irregularly. I took his blood pressure and it was normal. His heart rate was 102bpm. He also has an urge to cough periodically. He's had these episodes happen before and the cough has helped at times. Do we need to be concerned? His father died from heart disease and started having an irregular heart beat when he was 35.
