Is There Oral B -12 Medication Instead Of Injections?

yes I have Pernicious Anemia and being taking B-12 injection onc a month since about 1990. Since retirement it is hard to find someone to give the B-12 shot. Is there medicine to take by mouth that will replace the B-12 injection? Thanks Harold J. Funderburg

Hi Harold. There are sublingual forms of B12 that you just put under your tongue and thye absorb through the mucosa. Ask your doctor about this. Also, are you able to give the injections yourself? You could be prescribed the medicine and syringes and do it yourself once a month at home after brief training. Ask your doctor about these alternatives. Hope this helps.
