I had Tuberculosis 5 years ago teated, but i'm struggling to gain weight no matter how much i eat, is there a chance for me to get fat? Looking at all people that i know that had TB since my childhood are still skinny, none of them picked up weight until today. Does it mean after the TB treatment theres no gaining weight again?.

HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
No that's a misconception. I have seen quite a number of people gaining good weight after treatment for TB .
The issue here is whether proper treatment for your TB was given and after completing the treatment course was any test done to check whether you are completely cured or not ?
If TB is not treated properly , you may not gain weight .
So I advise you to go back to your doctor who treated you for TB and ask him to check whether your TB is completely cured or not .
Also ask him for a prescription for Syrup Cyproheptadine which improves your appetite and helps in gaining weight . I use this Syrup for most of my TB patients and it has given wonderful effects .
Hope you find this information useful. Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask.
