can i still take my simvastatin (Simvor 40 Ranbaxy) even im still taking my maintenance drugs for my BP (losartan and amlodipine)? my cholesterol is 203.0 h mg/dl in the range of 150.0 - 200.0 and HDL chol 51.7 mg/dl i the range of 34.61 - 65.38 LDL Chol 136.96 mg/dl in the range of 129.2 - 158.8 thanks a lot and waiting for a reply
No, there is no drug interaction between simvastatin and losartna/amlodipine. You can use these simultaneously. Take simvastatin at bed time for maximum benefits. Advice 1. Exercise – start workout in gym at least for half an hour for 4 – 5 days in a week regularly. 2. Avoid high energy foods such as cakes, chocolates, chips etc. 3. Avoid alcohol/beer and smoking 4. Increase consumption of high fiber diet such as wheat bread, dry date, vegetables etc 5. Drink 3 – 4 liters of water daily 6. Divide your meals into smaller portions. Do not consume heavy meal at a time 7. Avoid oily, spicy food and excess salt Thanks
