Is There Any Way To Wean Off Seroflo Usage For Asthma?
Hello Doctor I am 25 years old. I have asthma from my school days. I am taking Seroflo 100 rotacaps daily. But I am doing jogging half hour daily. But still i am not able to stop taking the medicines. Can you suggest me some how to stop taking medicines. It would be beneficial if you would suggest some tips.
Hello there, Seroflo contains a combination of a steroid and a long acting bronchodilator. Both of these cannot be quit cold turkey and need to be tapered off gradually. You tendency to have asthma attacks would depend on your environment as well as your constitution. Breathing exercises under the supervision of a yoga instructor or a physiotherapist can be used to reduce your need for a seroflo but they may not give you as good results as seroflo. Diet modifications to eliminate food that can aggravate attacks can be done in consultation with a nutritionist. Some clinicals have found zinc, magnesium and fish oil to be helpful in reducing attacks but these are also to be done under supervision.
Hope this helps
