i had an safe sex ie with condom abt exactly 1 mth back with a unkown lady. but while doing sex the comdom broke and immidiate after 3 to 5 secound the lady noticed and i changed the condom and wear a new one. is there any risk of hiv? please ans im worried.....
Thank you for query.The chances of transmission of HIV by unprotected sexual route is 1/ 200 to 1/2000 even if the partner is HIV infected.It is least if you have protected intercourse.More so you do not know HIV status may be negative also.The chances are least in your episode.you can get relieved of anxiety by getting yourself tested for HIV depending on the days from exposure.You can get back for any clarifications.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.
hi HIV is transmitted by participating in any sort of un protected sex with HIV positive person or by sharing needles with a positive person or by blood transfusion taken from HIV positive person etc.... so you did not mention HIV status of the lady and moreover you have immediately changed the condom so you have a rare risk hope i have answered your question
