Is There Any Relationship Between Flu Shot And Eyelid Hematoma/echymosis?

My father had a flu shot this morning and a couple hours later, my mother noticed his eyelid had turned red and purple with bruising. Its basically about 50% covered with this bruising. Maybe a tiny bit of swelling but mostly just bruised. Are the 2 related or totally different issues (flu shot and eyelid hematoma/echymosis)??

Hello
It seems from the history that your father is having flu shot associated with ecchymosis of the eye lids.
It is common to see infection of the eye in flu and ecchymosis is because of inflammation of the eye lid.
The treatment is by using antibiotic eye drops or eye ointment along with the treatment for flu.

Thank you
