Is There Any Over The Counter Remedy For Long Lasting Hiccups ?

Hello, My Dad is 76 years of age. He is in great health. He just had a phyical two or three days ago. However, he gets the hiccups that usually last for a day or two. Please recommend an over-the-counter remedy for give him relief. Thank you!

1. just swallow a pouch of sugar. Sometimes it helps.
2. take a walk.
3. try some antacids especially with a local anesthetic.
4. some muscle relaxants are given. but i would suggest you meet a dr and take a prescription since the medicines have side effects
