Hello,
I have gone through your query. I presume you have been taking the pill 'Ovral.' If this is so, you can stop the medication after 5 days and wait for a week to see a period. Usually, progesterones alone are prescribed either to induce or delay a period. The duration of the medication also depends on the phase of the menstrual cycle you are in and also on the regularity of your cycles. If you are in the early phase of the cycle, you need to take the medication for at least ten days or go for higher doses. The dose also depends on the time when a period is needed to be induced. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
