Is There Any Medication Stronger Than Hydrocodone/325 Norco For Arthritis?

My Dr has prescribed hydrocodone /325 norco for about 10 yrs for a pretty bad arthiritis condition from an auto accident. I realize thats a long time but it takes alot to ease the pain. I would like to see if there is something a bit stronger but without tylenol as My wife recently passed from hep c. I have the antibody in me as Ive been tested. I know tylenol isnt good to take could you recommend or name if not recommend an agonist type drug stronger than norco10 as I dont want to get addicted to some type fentynol patch

You are likely already physically addicted to the hydrocodone because of the long chronic use. There are other long-acting narcotics such as oxycontin or methadone that don't have Tylenol in them. Since you have a chronic pain syndrome, I suggest you see a doctor who specializes in chronic pain management. They are best experienced at managing these type of drugs and minimizing addiction problems. They may also be able to provide non-narcotic treatments such as joint injections that could help. I assume you are getting follow up for your hepatitis C. That would include a blood test to see if the virus is still present in your body. The antibody test just shows if you've been exposed but doesn't say if you have an active infection. Hope this answers your query. If you have further questions, I would be happy to answer them.
