Hi Doctor, I have a question regarding short sightness and central focal point desiese. We were told there is only a shot to delay blindness from occuring, but there is no way to cure it. My apologise as i dont have the medical name for the desiese. Does this make any sense to you ? Many thanks

Hello
There is no condition called as central focal point disease. This can be a disease of the central retina called as macular diseases.
Since you have mentioned about injection to delay blindness it can be macular degeneration. The treatment of the condition is by use of intravitreal injections of anti vascular endothelial growth factors.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor and do get back to me with correct diagnosis so that I can advice you more accurately.

Thank you
