Is There Any Issues With Overdose Panadols?
Hello. About a month ago due to depression I took 10 panadols and was rushed to the emergency unit even though I didn't feel any overdose symptoms at all. I was discharged after spending 5 hours in the hospital and result stated that I was fine. It's been a month now and until now I don't feel anything wrong due to that but my boyfriend is very concerned with me possibly having liver failure in the future. Is it possible that I may be lucky and won't suffer from any nasty organ failures? From what I heard in most cases the reaction is instant whereas there was and there is no reaction at all with me. It is unlikely that 10 tablets of paracetamol causes liver failure in the future. Paracetamol overdose occurs with the ingestion of about 24 to 30 standard tablets at the same time. You may not experience severe toxic effects since you ingested 10 tablets. But it is always safe to consult your doctor for a blood test for liver functions. If it was normal just after ingestion of tablets then there is nothing to worry about.
