Is There Any Difference Between Metrogyl-P Plus And Metrogyl?

Hi, I have Rosacea on my nose and I am using Metrogyl-P plus ointment daily for last few days. Is this good to cure the infection? It was prescribed by the dermatologist. What are the side effects of it? Also when I went to purchase the ointment, the drug store has given me Metrogyl-P plus instead of Metrogyl which was prescribed by the doctor. Are both same? Is there any issue in using Metrogyl-P plus?

Rosacea causes tiny red pimples and fine red lines on the facial skin.It is like adult acne like condition with flares and remissions. It commonly affects nose.Treatment is antibacterial washes, antibiotics, photodynamic therapy or isotretinoin or lasers.
So your doctor advised metronidazole ,which is a topical antibacterial.Metrogyl is only metronidazole and metrogyl -p plus is metronidazole and povidone iodine .So metogyl-p plus contains two ingredients instead of one ingredient in metrogyl
Hope this clarifies your doubt
