People with family history should monitor blood sugar regularly and also keep weight in the normal range. These things do help in delaying or even preventing the onset of diabetes.

Hi Doctor, First a small background--my husband is 31 years old, is very over-weight, and diabetes runs in his family. For awhile now, he has had some health issues , and after doing some online research, it turns out that the symptoms point to possible diabetes. I told him that he needs to go see our family doctor, but he is refusing to do so, because he doesn t want it to affect his health insurance. Instead, he purchased the True2go glucose test. He kept testing wrong/ruining the strips-except one (last one he had)-which I helped him with (a little)--his last one when he tested, the meter read Lo . I looked in the manual again and there s nothing in there about that reading?

We have consulted a doctor and she has prescribed Tab Duphaston (10 mg) twice daily. Could you advise us of its purpose and if it has any side effects in long-term. We would really appreciate your advice on this.
