Hello ma'am and welcome.

You need not worry about this ma'am. Within 72 hours from quitting smoking the lungs improve their overall respiratory function by around 50 %, and thus improve delivery of oxygen and expel all the toxins from the body within 2-3 weeks time. The body does everything for you, so stay relaxed and drink as much fluids as possible for a few days.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
