Is There A Treatment For A Ruptured Piriformis Muscle?

Is there a surgery or treatment for a possible ruptured piriformis muscle. I have a distinct gun shot type pain making me want to puke with a distorting figure to show in the exact area of this muscle. I will not go to ER until I know for sure there is a treatment before trying to wait 4 to 6 hours

Hi,

If pyriformis rupture as such doesn't warrant surgery. Treatment of rupture depends on symptoms and difficulty you have. If you are suspecting pyriformis rupture, diagnosis can be confirmed by MRI of the MRI of the involved hip.
Detailed clinical Examination can also aid in diagnosis. If pain is severe you can take tab Ultracet P twice a day for pain relief. Visit to orthopedic surgeon is recommended.
