Is There A Chance For Vision To Come Back After Effected By Brain Fever ?

my sister who is now of 22years,became the victim of brain fever at the age of 12years and thereafter she lost her vision and unable to see till date.can you suggest me the treatments in this case.

vision loss is one of the complications of meningitis.
please contact your GP as you should be referred to an Ophthalmology department for further treatment and support.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
There are no specific treatment in blindness secondary to meningitis.The treatment and prognosis depend on the type of damage causing blindness.
Blindness after meningitis is a rare complication but when it occurs damage occurs in brain , so it is difficult to revert back.
However , you should try seeing a neurologist and Optholmologist near your area and get a detailed evaluation.
