Is The Snapped Achilles Tendon The Reason For The Pain In Thighs And Tiredness?

For months I have been struggling to climb my stairs . I feel I have no energy to climb the stairs. I am tired all the time although I will sleep for hours. I wake and feel bone tired. I am wondering does it have anything to do with my ankle that has been hurting me where a snapped my Achilles tendon a few years ago and the fact that I can no longer walk around barefoot...I need a heeled slip on shoe to support the ankle. If I walk along the street I have to watch where I am walking as I can feel when the ground it is not level and it hurts my ankle. I seem to be walking with a limp. Could all of this be affecting my thighs?

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Extreme tiredness, increased sleepiness and lack of energy is commonly due to thyroid disease, diabetes or severe anemia AND NOT DUE TO Achilles tendon problem.

You should get yourself evaluated for these conditions. Appropriate treatment of the diagnosed condition will certainly improve your symptoms.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
