Is The Post Coital Bleeding Worrisome?
I had postcoital bleeding 2 days ago. It stopped, then started again last night, a little heavier than originally. I had an ultrasound and bimanual exam on the day it started, and was told everything was fine. Should I be worried about the bleeding from last night (which has since stopped).

The most likely explanation for bleeding after intercourse is related to the cervix. The cervix is at the top of the vagina and gets bumped during intercourse. The outside of the cervix has a portion that is more glandular and prone to bleeding, called cervical ectropion. You could certainly get a second opinion if it happens again and ask them to look more closely at the cervix. Finally, get tested for infection of the cervix as this can also be a cause.
