Is The Pain In Hip Related To Melanoma?

I have had hip pain for about 3 months. I thought that it would just go away …but it hasn t and is becoming pretty annoying and debilitating. The pain radiates down the side of the thigh. About a month ago, I went to an Orthopedic Dr. and he took X-rays concluding that there was very little arthritis and wear and tear to the joint. He gave me a shot (which doesn t seem to have been effective) and a RX for Naproxen. I pray that you can reassure me that it surely is not related to a melanoma that I had removed from my arm last October. I have heard that the cancer can show up again anywhere in your body. I hope that you can say that you are doubtful that the hip pain is related to that.
