I just received a new prescription of Sertraline 50 mg tablets that looks much different than what I have had in the past. It is a blue, oblong tablet. On one side is says A ; on the other side is has a 1 on the left side and a 7 on the right side. Do I have the right tablet?
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. Sertraline is a one of commonly used anti anxiety and antidepressant drug and it has been manufactured by a lot of companies. Slight variations in colour is seen in tablets from different companies. The oblong tablet of blue colour bearing A 17 is sertraline 50 mg tablet only. The difference is due to different manufacturer only. No need to worry, take the drug as per your prescription.
Hope this helps you. Thanks and Take care
