Hello
I have gone through your question .
I can understand your concern.

Pain in the anterior neck, the asymmetrically enlarged thyroid gland and the symptoms of hypothyroidism can be associated with Subacute thyroiditis.

Subacute thyroiditis is an acute inflammatory disease of the thyroid probably caused by a virus.Initial hyperthyroidism is common, sometimes followed by a transient period of hypothyroidism. You have the symptoms of hypothyroidism,so you can be at this stage.

For the diagnosis there are necessary:
-Clinical findings
-thyroxine (T4) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels
-ESR
-Radioactive iodine uptake

My advice is to consult an endocrinologist because you need to repeat the thyroid function tests and to do the all the other tests necessary to reach the right diagnose.

Hope i have answered to your questions. If you have further questions,i will be happy to help.
Thank you for using HCM.
Wish you good health.
