Is The Lesion On Cheek A Side Effect Of Stomach Problem?

I have chronic stomach problems and am experiencing a flareup, with symptoms typical of an infection (bloating, gas, digestive woes, etc.). I am scheduled to see my gastro-int tomorrow. But I just noticed a small, circular mole-like black lesion on the inside of my left cheek. I realize this could be a problem unto itself, but is there a possibility the lesion could be connected to the stomach infection?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of chronic stomach problem, flare ups, with symptoms of infection like bloating, gases, digestive woes etc, scheduled visit to a Gastroenterologist tomorrow but wants to know about a circular mole-like black lesion on the inside left cheek and whether this is connected with stomach infection.
Since there is an intestinal infection, I would advise you the following:
Clinical evaluation by your Doctor for vitals and local examination.
Investigations of stool, blood, ultrasonography and as required.
A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotic should help you fully.
The black mole like structure on the inside of left cheek can be a benign mole or can be a malignant melanoma.
Since this is small it is better to to get the lump excised for two reasons:
1. you get rid of the extra mass out of body and
2. You get a confirmed diagnosis by histopathology .
I find this answer helpful
