Is The Itching All Over The Body Due To Medicine Or Food Diet?

Hello Doctor, Good morning My name is Naresh & i m 33 years old,i d tested my blood count last week as per the instruction from my doctor due to regular coughing & sneezing and came to know that Eosinophil count is 11%.And my doctor had prescribed me to take Banocide forte 2 times a day for 20 , now im on 6th day , started to get itchy symptoms all over the body. Is it because the tablet or because of my food habits, by the way I m a non-vegetarian. Plz Reply

Hello, let me tell you that if you don't have a new dietary pattern, or new inclusion in your diet, it is unlikely to be related to the diet..As far as diethylcarbamazine (Banocide forte) is concerned, it can be the culprit..You need to consult your prescribing physician who will withdraw this agent for a few days, if your symptoms resolve, you know the culprit.
For the time being, i wil adv you to take tab Cetrizine 10 mg at bedtime and use a bland soap like pears for bathing, don't use any lotions or deodorants.
Thanks
Take care
