Is the eye power of -5 suitable for B1 fitness in railway recruitment process ?

actually my eye power is -5 whether this power is fit for B1 Fitness in railway recruitment process or not?.... B1 FITNESS IS: Visual Standards - Distance Vision: 6/9,6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D). Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision & Night Vision.

you have mentioned that your power is -5D and the and according to visual standard of railway recruitment process it should not exceed 4 D. you have not given any idea about your visual acquity and the other required parameters (colour vision, binocular vision,and other) for the recruitment process. u can check out with an ophthalmologist for the same.

Your only solution if your truly want to be a rail worker is to undergo lasik or another form of refractive surgery... which will assure that you will be able to work until retirement. The other tests I cannot comment on and will have to be assessed by you eye doctor.
