Is The Diabetic Dosage Of Cetapin XR And Glynase MF Enough?
I am a diabetic for the last 5 years , I was advised Cetapin XR 1000 in the morning and Glynase MF twice daily. My fasting is around 180 . Is the dosage enough or do I need to shift to any other medicine. Sometimes ago I was advised Blisto2MF in the morning and Janumet in the night but with that I had severe vomiting . Kindly advise the est dose for me.
Dear Sir/Madam, You are on a pretty strict dosage of medicines. Still your fasting value is quite high. if your other parameters are normal you can discuss about adding pioglitazone to your regimen. Currently this drug is being sold with warning and it is safe to take this drug under medical supervision. The ideal thing to be done is addition of a small dose of long acting insulin like glargine to get better control on blood sugars. I am suggesting insulin because higher fasting values are known to promote the development of Diabetes related complications. Please discuss with your Diabetologist and proceed on one of the 2 options i have mentioned above... Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
