Is The Cataract By Birth Curable?

hello doctor.. actually i have cataract from birth and that's why my eye sight is weak... iam not able to see the objects properly.. many doctors say that it is not curable,but i want to cure this.. i want my proper eye sight back... please suggest me something... thanks..

Hello,

Congenital cataract is curable but visual recovery would depend on the associated eye disease or presence or absence of amblyopia( lazy eye). If your doctors have told that it is not curable then you can ask for the explanation. If there is associated eye disease such as glaucoma or amblyopia the the visual recovery might be poor. Otherwise cataract alone is curable.
