Is The Baby S Weight Gain Correct?

my baby is little over 10 months and she weights 16 pounds. she was 7.42 pounds when she was born, is she gaining the right amount of weight or should I be concern. My pediatrician said he wants to watch and see. Is there medication that could help her gain weight. When I was pregnant with her I suffered from hyperthroidism, but the test said she s fine.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

For a baby who is born with that birth weight and currently at 16 pounds at this age means she is slightly lesser than her normal expected weight gain.

But there is nothing very serious here and I do agree with your paediatrician that you can wait and watch till 1 year of age.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
