Is The BP Level 120/80 With Diabetes Normal?

My father age is 68 years. He has sugar level of 180(fasting), 277(PP). His BP level is 120/80. Earlier one month before, his BP was 150/90. Diabetic doctor prescribed him Janumet tablet, after using this medicine for seven days, his BP was reduced to 120/75. Now he stopped taking Janumet, only taking Gemer tablet in the morning. Is this BP level with diabetic is normal ? Pl advise..

Hello
Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query. I understand your concerns.
Yes your father's blood pressure is under control and it is normal also. Tell him to continue they antihypertensive drugs as usual. He should not stop the drug suddenly without your treating doctor consent.

Don't start or stop the drug with out doctor advice.

Hope this helps you. Thank you
