Hello,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com,
Its a matter of concern that your friend who is already taking Cipralex (escitalopram) for his emotional problems is also abusing cocaine. It is dangerous to take both Cipralex and cocaine simultaneously, as both of them increases serotonin levels in brain, at time to such dangerous levels that they can lead to serotonin overload causing serotonin syndrome. It is characterised by raised blood pressure and increased heart rate that can lead to shock.
I would suggest you to encourage your friend to stop taking cocaine simultaneously with cipralex. If he finds it difficult to stop it on his own, you can assist him to consult a specialist in de-addiction to help him in stop abusing cocaine.
Thank you.
