Is Taking Vertin And Stemetil Safe For Mild Dizziness And Nausea?

I have slight dizziness and nausia. My Dr has prescribed By-Vertin 16mg 3 times daily AND Stemetil 5mg 3 times daily. Looking up the info on the internet they both seem to do the same thing. I am 85 years old and onder if all this might be too much for me. Can you advise me please. Thank you

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

They can both be used for dizziness and nausea for a short period of time but work in slightly different ways.
Some of the possible side effects are similar so using them together may cause them to be worse eg drowsiness

If the dizziness is due to BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), which is a common cause , then doing a maneuver called epley's maneuver , would help.
