I have been prescribed Armour thyroid medication 30 mg as my levels are on the high side. I ve been reading up on this and is this medication to raise or lower the thyroid? The side effects are things I already have going on and I don t want them to get worse!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, let me tell you something, if this is the disease condition then you have to take the medicine least concern what the side effects ate there else consequences of untreated disease condition would be more worse may be danger, so treating the disease condition would have been given importance and not to the side effect, side effected can be minimise on its own but not the illcondition hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
