Is Swollen Vagina Normal During Bladder Infection?

Hi. I went to the doctor and he says I have a bladder infection. I was wondering if swollen inside of the virgina is normal. I got fingered a couple of days ago and I can t remember if I had left my tampond in or not. But I can t feel any signs of it. Could I be getting swelling because of that? Or it is all a bladder infection? Please answer!!!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, a swollen vagina can be consider a normal occurence during an infection of the genitourinary tract. Systemic antibiotic treatment should take care of the symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
