Is Swollen Liver In A Child A Cause For Concern?

my son has been complaining of pain his center of belly more frequently now since he was 5 he is 10 now he has passed out 2 times now he complains of leg pain and has been getting light headed and frequently called to be picked up at school xrays where done and his liver is swollen more test where done his dad has hep b and c could he of piked it up is or he nervouse I notice this tends to happen when he is nervouse growing pains I would greatly appreciate any informtion

Hello and thank you for your question.
He needs to be tested for hepatitis C. A swollen liver is never normal and his doctors need to find the cause for this.
Also the passing out is a concern. It is not normal for children to pass out. Please make sure he is seeing a pediatrician that is trying to figure out the cause for the passing out and his liver enlargement.
