Is Swollen And Painful Calf Symptom Of DVT?

Hello,

I have been suffering with a swollen and very painful calf (feels like permanent cramp) for the last 3 or 4 days. I have just returned from a business trip to India and was very ill for 4 days on my return - this started immediately after I recovered from that illness (fever and severe diarrhoea). I thought it may have been due to dehydration but I am concerned it may be DVT.

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Confirmation of DVT requires thorough examination By Surgeon and doppler examination of the suspected limb. Air travel, dehydration could be risk factors for DVT, and in the presence of symptoms of pain and swelling in the limb, DVT has to be ruled out.

Would suggest you to consult your Physician for further evaluation

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life

Take Care
